MS Dhoni rebuffed all the rumours of dodgy fitness for the World T20 with a brutal display of batting during a practice session at the outer ground of the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah today.

Batting against Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra, Dhoni hit 6 sixes and at least 4 fours which almost crossed the boundary, a PTI report stated. All 10 balls faced during this phase by Dhoni were clobbered with extreme power.

In the practice match against Sri Lanka on Monday, Dhoni did not come out to bat, prompting questions from the fans and experts alike on the reason behind his absence. Dhoni later cleared the air during the post-match presentation, citing a niggle in his right hand as the reason behind letting other batsmen have a go.

However, he did not hold back in the net session today against the Haryana leggie, who did not look like troubling Dhoni even once, a Rediff report said. He also displayed attacking instinct against the pacers during practice, leaving no doubt remaining about his fitness for the tournament.

The report also added that Indian players looked extremely tired in the afternoon session as they had a go in the nets before their practice match against England tomorrow.

After their 2nd warm-up game against England on Wednesday, India will begin their World T20 campaign with the clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on 21st March.
