After Australia defeated Pakistan in the Group 2 Super 10 encounter on Friday to knock them out of contention for a semifinal berth, their match against India at Mohali on Sunday now has become a virtual quarterfinal, the winner of which will join New Zealand in the semis.

You would think that the Men in Blue would be involved in rigorous training ahead of this vital fixture, but it seems after their thrilling win over Bangladesh on Wednesday, the team decided to unwind a bit before getting back into the thick of action.

On Friday, skipper MS Dhoni, along with opener Rohit Sharma and Team Director Ravi Shastri took to the golf course in Chandigarh, located roughly 12km away from the venue where Australia and Pakistan were fighting it out.

Dressed in a white polo and blue aviators, the limited-overs captain looked relaxed on the golf course while Shastri and Rohit wore a pair of T-shirts and shorts.

Dhoni played an instrumental role in India’s thrilling one-run win over Bangladesh at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, inflicting a match-winning run out off the final ball to hand the hosts an incredible win and thereby keep their chances of making it to the semifinals alive.

The team trained at the PCA Stadium on Saturday.
