At 10:30 am, the Seven clothing outlet, snuck in one corner in Indiranagar, off the 100 ft road, bore a deserted look, having just opened for customers. Autowallahs quietly sat by the side of the store on a lazy Sunday morning.

Or so it seemed.

In an hour and a half, with news reaching far and wide that the outlet's brand ambassador would be walking in later in the day and launching the store, people flocked left, right and centre, completely submerging the temporary boundaries built by the security around the outlet. The autowallahs were pushed a kilometer away.

And soon, MS Dhoni walked in, tightly wrapped in thick security as he made his way through the fervent crowds, some of whom were perched on a nearby tree to catch one glimpse of their cricketing god.

He entered the store and stayed inside for a good fifteen minutes, going through the catalogue. To not disappoint his fans, who were slowly swelling up to a four digit figure, he climbed atop a ledge and took a selfie.

Dhoni is the face of the Seven brand

Dhoni, who himself has been the face of the brand ever since its inception in 2016, has actively been involved in the promotion, and has been to various outlets across the country for their inauguration whenever he has got time off his schedule.

Although he did not speak to the media for long, Dhoni made sure that he addressed the hoard of fans who had managed to block two lanes worth of space in front of the outlet, pushing and pulling to somehow catch a glimpse of the star.

He spoke about his association with Bengaluru, stating how his connection goes back to 2002, when he was part of the National Cricket Academy, slowly finding his way up the ranks, with his India debut still two years away from that period.

He then spoke about how the city is not new for him, as he keeps coming back as part of his international or IPL commitments. He also spoke about how the city's weather is a big plus point for cricketers, especially for foreigners who complain about high temperatures. The crowd support at the Chinnaswamy, according to Dhoni, always keeps the team's morale up.

Speaking on the importance of fitness, and his association with the brand, he said:

"Fitness is a crucial part of each individual’s life. Since the launch, the brand has been consistent with the ambition of making fitness accessible to all parts of the country. It gives me immense pleasure to see the brand getting a step closer to its ambition with each passing day. Seven’s products are designed with perfection and are standard for all fitness regimes".
