MS Dhoni and Virender Sehwag show their cheeky sides on Twitter and Instagram

Virender Sehwag has been quite active on twitter since his retirement

Virender Sehwag has been very active on Twitter following his retirement and his tweets have made headlines in the recent past. In his leisure time, Sehwag has been tweeting quite often and following India’s first medal in the Rio Olympics courtesy Sakshi Malik, “The Nawab of Najafgarh” has again trolled writer and columnist Shobha De. De’s tweet last week sparked an enormous outrage in the country and many big names from the sporting fraternity took Shobha De’s twitter account apart.

The famous writer is now bound to take back her words after Sakshi Malik’s heroics. She became the first Indian sportsperson to win a medal at Rio. It will certainly be a red letter day for India as far as Rio Olympics is concerned.

Sehwag had earlier written a note to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as the transport minister requesting them to name a train or jet after the heroics from Dipa Karmakar and Lalita Babar in the Rio Olympics. Though they were unable to give the nation a medal, it was a historic moment for Dipa when she became the 1st Indian female gymnast to qualify for the summer Olympics. The fact that Indians have clinched a medal now makes it that more important for Shobha De to withdraw her tweet.

Sehwag’s tweet following Malik’s bronze medal win took the twitter to frenzy though it was hard to interpret what actually he wrote in his own witty style. The tweet roughly translates to: “Medal Around Sakshi’s neck is looking very Attractive. That’s why one should never do things which do not suit them”. On a lighter note, the translation may sound odd but it was the nearest possible translation.

On the other hand, India ODI captain MS Dhoni is also enjoying his free time, away from the national team. In a recent photo posted by him on Instagram, he is seen attempting to copy the pose of “Rajinikanth” from his latest movie “Kabali”.

Sharing the image on Instagram Dhoni wrote, "Tried copying the pose of the one and only Thalaivar."

Dhoni calls himself a true-blue Rajnikanth fan and the photograph has Dhoni imitating a pose from a  poster of “Kabali” where Rajinikanth is seen overlooking the Malaysia city skyline with legs crossed and his hands resting on his side. The film which earned 250 crores worldwide has been directed by Pa Ranjith.

The movie narrates the life of a gangster and how he fights for the equal pay rights for the Tamils residing in Malaysia.

MS Dhoni retired from Test cricket in the 2015 Test series against Australia and Virat Kohli was handed over the captaincy. He is the only captain in the world to win all three major ICC tournaments, the World Cup, the World Twenty20 and the Champions Trophy and will be looking to add some more to his kitty before hanging up his boots.
