Sachin will probably be sick of me by end of IPL, says Mumbai Indians's Michael Hussey
Having donned the yellow jersey for last 6 years in IPL, Michael Hussey is all set to make the transition to blue this season.
A star performer for Chennai Super Kings, 38-year-old Hussey was bought by Mumbai Indians in this year’s auctions. Talking about his new team and the challenges ahead for him this season in an exclusive interview with IPL’s official site, Hussey said that he is looking forward to spending time with retired legend Sachin Tendulkar in the Mumbai Indians dressing room.
In the interview, Hussey said, “I am really looking forward to spending time with him [Sachin] and talking about life and cricket. He will probably be sick of me by the end of the IPL.”
Though Tendulkar retired last year from all forms of cricket, he was named theĀ icon player of Mumbai Indians, and is expected to provide moral support to the Mumbai squad throughout the tournament.
Though Hussey has been a part of many memorable wins by CSK, he was confident that he will have more memorable experiences despite having changed sides in the MI-CSK rivalry.
“It will be different but I am excited by the challenge of joining a team that I have admired and respected over the six years.
“I have had some great battles with Mumbai Indians over the years and look forward to many great battles with CSK over the next few years.
“[I'm] Excited about joining the champion team and the chance to play home games at Wankhede stadium, which probably has the best atmosphere I have ever experienced,” he said.
