We take a look at three players who could play an important role in determining the result of the match.
#1 Dale Steyn (Cape Town Blitz)
Dale Steyn, the deadly fast-paced bowler has been on a tear through the first three weeks of the Mzansi Super League 2019. He has picked up a total of 10 wickets in six matches and is joint top of the standings for most wickets taken.
His ability to consistently deliver fast deliveries at good line and length makes him a perennial threat in all formats. Steyn has averaged 19.2 with an economy of 8.0 in the six matches of the MSL 2019. His four overs will be crucial for the Cape Town Blitz to get the edge over the Durban Heat.
#2 David Miller (Durban Heat)
The South African international and T20 specialist, David Miller will be key for the Durban Heat if they are to turn their fortunes around in the league.
Miller began with a handy inning of 23 runs in the Heat's first match against the Cape Town Blitz but was unable to bat against the Tshwane Spartans. He gained form against the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants on 23 November 2019 when he scored 45 in a losing effort.
The hard-hitting Miller will aim to keep his form with the bat going to clinch the first win for the Durban Heat as they face the Cape Town Blitz.
#3 Janneman Malan (Cape Town Blitz)
The 23-year old South African T20I batsman has been in stellar form for the Cape Town Blitz leading the charge from the opening slot for them.
Malan began with a swashbuckling 99 not out in the MSL 2019 opener leading the Blitz to a win over the Jozi Stars. He has kept his form going with contributions at the top and will aim to keep it going as the Blitz aim to improve their position on the league stands.
