What's the story?

The defending champions of Mzansi Super League, Jozi Stars have drafted Jacques Snyman into their squad as a replacement for Gerald Coetzee who had picked up a hamstring injury.

The background

Jozi Stars have let their fans down with their performance in MSL 2019. Despite having the likes of Chris Gayle, Temba Bavuma and Reeza Hendricks in the team, the team is yet to open its account on the points table. They lost all of their six matches in the first three weeks while they will not have Gayle in their squad for the upcoming matches.

To make matters worse for the Stars, their 19-year-old fast bowler Gerald Coetzee has been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament.
