New Zealand were dismissed for 105 runs in their second innings against India in the first Test match at Auckland. This is the fourth lowest total for New Zealand against India in New Zealand.

After having a first innings lead of 301 runs, the New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum decided not to enforce the follow-on. Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma picked 3 wickets each, Zaheer Khan picked 2 and the left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja got up one wicket.

But even with this bowling performance, India still require a record chase of 407 runs to win the match.
