New Zealand Women v India Women 2019, 3rd T20I: Preview & Predicted Lineups
After having sealed the three-match T20I series with two consecutive wins, the New Zealand Women are set to host the Indian Women for the final T20I at Seddon Park in Hamilton. This series win must be a huge morale booster for the White Ferns after they were hammered in the ODI series 1-2 by the Women in Blue.
The Indian women will be hoping to avoid a whitewash and end the tour on a winning note.
Last time out, after having won the toss, New Zealand elected to field first. Jemimah Rodrigues’s played an exceptional knock of 72 (53) to take her side to a modest total of 135 runs. However, her heroics vent in vain as the visitors lost the match by four wickets.
Suzie Bates played a match-winning knock under pressure to take her side over the line. She scored 62(52) crucial runs in a low-scoring affair and was rightfully declared the player of the match. It was a close contest which went down the line until the last ball of the 20th over.
Heading into the final fixture with the series already in their kitty, the home side can test their bench strength for their benefit. The visitors, on the other hand, could play Mithali Raj in their starting line-up. But most importantly, the Indian middle order would look to better their form.
On that note, let's bring you all you need to know ahead of the final T20I.
