"200 deserve karta tha" - Fans erupt as Musheer Khan hits 181 in Duleep Trophy
Sarfaraz Khan's younger brother Musheer Khan stole the show for India B in the Duleep Trophy fixture against India A at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After staying unbeaten on 105 after Day 1, Musheer went on to score 181 runs off 373 balls with the aid of five sixes and 15 boundaries before getting out caught by Riyan Parag off Kuldeep Yadav on Day 2 (Friday, September 6).
The 19-year-old shared a 205-run partnership with Navdeep Saini to rescue the team from 94-7 in their first innings. Musheer's knock came when Yahasvi Jaiswal (30 off 59), Sarfaraz Khan (9 off 35), and Rishabh Pant (7 off 10) failed to deliver with the bat.
The Mumbai-born batter scored a double century against Baroda in the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals earlier this year.
Musheer has already amassed 710 runs in just 11 innings in first-class cricket, including three tons. He was also the second-highest run-getter at the 2024 U19 World Cup, scoring 360 runs in seven matches, including two centuries.
