2024 T20 World Cup Points Table: Updated standings after Canada vs Ireland match
Following a historic win over Ireland, Canada cricket team have moved to the third spot in Group A points table in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The Saad Bin Zafar-led side comprehensively beat a decent Irish unit by 12 runs in Match 13 on Friday, June 7.
After being put to bat first, Canada faltered early. The lost four wickets for 53 but then wicketkeeper Shreyas Movva and Nicholas Kirtan added a match-changing partnership of 75 runs. Despite this, they could only post up 137 on the board and needed something magical to restrict Ireland.

Dillon Heyliger (2/18) and Jeremy Gordon (2/16) were the pick of the bowlers for Canada, who restricted the European team to 125/7 to clinch the game by 12 runs.
This was Canada's first-ever win in T20 World Cup history, taking them to third on the table with two points at a NRR of -0.274. Ireland, meanwhile, are all but out of the group stages with zero points and two losses.
