"Aalim Hakim has some strong competition now" - Fans react as Michael Vaughan backs his decision for haircut on streets of Mumbai

Former England captain Michael Vaughan, who is working with Cricbuzz in the 2023 World Cup, recently backed his decision for a haircut on the streets of Mumbai. That came as a random user said that only the poor should go to the streetside barbers. The user wrote on X:

“I dont understand this obsession witb roadside hair cutting. I have never done this. Just go to a hair cutting salon if you can afford. Those poor people who literally live at the bottom of the chain they use these roadside hair cutting services.”

Vaughan replied:

"Exactly why I use it .. Dindayal is fantastic and as good as any salon so why shouldn’t we use the Roadside ??"

For the unversed, the 49-year-old recently underwent a haircut and shave from Dindayal on Ormiston Road in Mumbai on the occasion of Diwali.

Sharing a video of it on X, he wrote:

“Diwali party trim and head massage from my good friend Dinajayal on Ormiston Road in #Mumbai”

The cricketer-turned-commentator then also went for shaving on the next day. Sharing a photo, he captioned the post:

"Monday is shaving day on the Orminston Road with my good friend Dinjayal"

While reacting to his own video shared by another media platform on Tuesday (November 14), Vaughan wrote:

“Dindayal is the best.”

Fans on X came up with hilarious reactions to Michael Vaughan’s decision. One user wrote:

“The Aussies are one team I think can beat India” – Michael Vaughan predicts India vs Australia 2023 World Cup final

Michael Vaughan believes that only five-time champions Australia can defeat India in the marquee ICC tournament. For that to happen, India must beat New Zealand in the semifinal and Australia also need to defeat South Africa in the knockout match.

Vaughan recently told Cricbuzz:

“The Aussies are one team I think can beat India. I just think they’ve got the pedigree, the history, the heritage, knowing how to win World Cups. I still have India as favorites. Obviously, India have got to do for New Zealand but if in the final, if they both make it.”

He continued:

“I just think this Australian side, now Smith back, playing well, I would keep him at No. 4 and Labuschagne wouldn’t play for me, I think having both of those in the team give the opposition half a sniff. Inglis is the only one really has not found any form. Inglis is a decent keeper but he haven’t got that many runs with the bat.”

India will play New Zealand in the first semifinal at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15. Meanwhile, Australia will lock horns with South Africa at the Eden Gardens on November 16.
