"Aap chakkay kyu kha rahe hai?" - Fan stumps Shadab Khan by asking him about his form ahead of Pakistan's 3rd T20I vs England
Pakistani leg-spinner Shadab Khan was taken to the cleaners in the second T20I of the team's ongoing four-match series against England at Edgbaston. He remained wicketless and conceded 55 runs from four overs, registering his worst-ever figures in T20Is.
Ahead of the Men in Green's third T20I, Shadab was seen interacting with a few fans in Cardiff. During the interaction, a fan asked the cricket star about his poor bowling performances lately.
Urging Shadab Khan to regain his bowling form, she said:
"Ap chakay kyun kha rahe hain? Form mein wapas aayein. Wicketein leni hai aap ne (Why are you being hit for so many sixes? Get your form back. You need to pick wickets)."
It is worth mentioning that the T20I series opener between Pakistan and England was washed out due to rain. Babar Azam and Co. suffered a 23-run defeat in the second fixture as they were bundled out for 160 while chasing an 184-run target.
"We had a detailed chat yesterday" - Shahid Afridi motivates Shadab Khan after dismal spell against England
Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi recently stated that he reached out to Shadab Khan and had a long conversation with the spinner after his poor spell in the second T20I against England.
Afridi pointed out how Pakistan have often done well when Shadab has made a significant impact. Sharing details of the conversation, Afridi told a Pakistani media channel:
"I need Shadab to deliver with the ball. Whenever he has performed with the ball, Pakistan have won. I have watched all of his matches in the past. We had a detailed chat yesterday, I asked him who is guiding him or if there is something he is not doing, how are you making such mistakes is there no one to tell you?"
"I called yesterday because I know he is going through a difficult time so I always try to help and motivate players who are having a hard time. Similarly, I talked with Shadab about what he is doing wrong and I hope that if he does [what he discussed] in training sessions, you will see the difference," Afridi added.
The third T20I between Pakistan and England will be played at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Tuesday, May 28.
