SRH star Abhishek Sharma is a force to reckon with in T20 cricket
Abhishek Sharma has been a force to reckon with in T20 cricket. The 24-year-old has gone from strength to strength in the format over the last 15 months. In the IPL 2025, the SRH star amassed 439 runs in 13 innings at a strike rate of 193.99, with the highest score of 141 runs off 55 deliveries against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). SRH, however, failed to reach the playoffs this year.
He had also scored 484 in the 2024 edition of the tournament. The Hyderabad-based franchise retained him for a whopping INR 14 crore ahead of the mega auction.
Abhishek Sharma has also taken to international cricket like a duck to water. He has 535 runs in 16 innings, with the aid of two centuries and as many fifties. He smashed 135 in his last T20I outing against England in February 2025.
The Punjab-born player will be keen to continue his exploits in the shortest format ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup. India’s next T20 assignment will be a three-match series in Bangladesh in August. The Men in Blue are also scheduled to play T20Is against Australia (away) and South Africa (home) later this year.
