"Absolutely poor captaincy from Rohit Sharma"- Top 10 funny memes as India's Top-order collapses on Day 3 of 3rd Test vs Australia BGT 2024-25

Australia continued their dominance against India in the 3rd Test of the BGT 2024-25 series with an assertive bowling performance. It was a start-stop day due to multiple rain interruptions, which allowed only 33.1 overs of play.

The hosts began the third day with an overnight score of 405/7 and added 40 runs before being bundled out for 445 in 117.1 overs. Alex Carey (70 off 88) hit an aggressive half-century and added some vital runs in the company of the lower order. Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the Indian bowlers with six wickets (6/76).

In reply, Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a four against Mitchell Starc on the very first ball to start on a high but perished immediately, playing a loose shot. Shubman Gill (1), Virat Kohli (3), and Rishabh Pant (9) also followed suit and departed due to their poor shot selections, leaving India in a heap of trouble at 44/4.

KL Rahul looked solid at one end and remained unbeaten on 33(64) along with Rohit Sharma at stumps as the visitors reached 51/4 in 17 overs. India need to score 246 in the first innings to avoid a follow-on.

India's poor batting performance and frequent rain interruptions on Day 3 of the Test frustrated the fans. They expressed their reactions by sharing memes on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. One fan mocked the batters for India's dire state in the 3rd Test with a sarcastic comment, which read:

"That's absolutely poor captaincy from Rohit Sharma."

"The same problem is coming again"- Aakash Chopra on Indian batter Virat Kohli after stumps on Day 3 of 3rd BGT 2024-25 Test

Former cricketer Aakash Chopra reviewed Virat Kohli's dismal innings of 3 (16) after stumps on day 3 and pointed out the stalwart's struggles against outside off-stump deliveries over the years. Speaking on the matter in a video on his YouTube channel 'Aakash Chopra,' he said:

"There is no doubt that there is a problem. It is well documented. The problem outside the off-stump comes repeatedly and starts troubling you. When he had problems on the England tour of 2014, he made changes in his batting, started taking a massive stride, and changed his stance as well. He has changed his game a lot. However, towards this end of his career, the same problem is coming again. "

He added:

"You obviously know that he is not at the top of his game. So what is the road ahead? I think there are two things. One, I remember the Sydney Test match after Sachin Tendulkar was repeatedly getting out to deliveries outside the off-stump. Can Virat Kohli do that? He will have to do that because if he keeps getting out like this, the vulnerability is exposed even more."
