Afghanistan left-arm pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi has been fined 15% of his match fee for showing dissent at an umpire during the second ODI against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on Thursday, December 19. The bowler, purchased by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for ₹2 crore at the IPL 2025 auction, was found guily of breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
Afghanistan hammered Zimbabwe by 232 runs in the second ODI in Harare. Sent into bat, Afghanistan posted 286-6 on the board and then knocked over Zimbabwe for just 54 in 17.5 overs.

Apart from being fined 15% of his match fee, one demerit point was also added to the Afghanistan left-arm pacer's disciplinary record, marking his first offence in a 24-month period. The ICC report added:
"Fazalhaq admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Match Referee Andy Pycroft, and levelled by on-field umpires Chris Brown and Percival Sizara, third umpire Langton Rusere and fourth umpire Iknow Chabi."
Afghanistan lead the three-match ODI series 1-0. The first match in Harare produced no result.
