RCB signed Krunal Pandya at the IPL 2025 mega auction for ₹5.75 Crore
After a couple of seasons with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Krunal Pandya is all set to don the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) jersey in the coming season. The Bengaluru franchise signed the Baroda all-rounder for ₹5.75 Crore at the mega-auction last month.
Pandya also recently participated in the RCB's pre-season camp in Bengaluru with some of his new teammates. In a video uploaded by the franchise, he spoke about his experience in the camp, saying: (as quoted by India Today)
"It's been very good. From a clarity point of view about roles and responsibilities, it gives me a clear idea of how to prepare for the next IPL and my role in RCB."
Royal Challengers Bengaluru franchise's Director of Cricket Mo Bobat explained the rationale behind their decision to conduct the camp and said:
"Most people might expect us to take a break after the busy auction prep and the auction itself. However, Andy and I were eager to get started right away. The ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Bangalore provided the perfect opportunity to watch players in action and host a camp. Our goal was to quickly familiarize ourselves with the players, especially those new to us."
Pandya has also played for Mumbai Indians for five years between 2016 and 2021.
