"Another KL in making"- Fans slam Shubman Gill for falling at crucial time on Day 2 of 2nd BGT 2024-25 Test

India's No.3 Shubman Gill was undone by a full delivery for a second time on Day 2 of the second Test against Australia in Adelaide. The 25-year-old, who missed the series opener with injury, looked in good nick in both innings of the ongoing Adelaide Test before being dismissed.

After his 31 in the first innings, Gill raced to 28 off just 30 deliveries in the second innings with India under immense pressure. However, he was cleaned up by a peach from Mitchell Starc that swung in later and uprooted his middle-stump.

Gill has often struggled with the full deliveries throughout his career, including being trapped LBW by Scott Boland in the first innings.

The stylish batter has now been dismissed under 50 in seven out of his last eight Test innings despite crossing 20 in six of those stints.

Fans on Twitter were disappointed with Gill throwing away another start and reacted as follows:

Fans continued slamming Gill with one saying:

"Gill has seious issue with yorker length. Just like kohli's 4th stump problem."
"Both his dismissals this innings for Gill are deliveries which he used to hit for 4 couple of years ago. Who is responsible for ruining these guys techniques??," said a fan.
"Never. Another KL in making. That’s why gill after 30 tests only 5 100s and average in 30s," a fan tweeted.

Shubman Gill's dismissal puts India in dire straits in 2nd BGT Test against Australia

Things continued to go downhill for Team India in the second Test at Adelaide for a second consecutive day.

After scoring a paltry 180 in their first innings on Day 1, the bowlers could not produce a repeat of the Perth Test. The Aussies, led by a brilliant century from Travis Head, finished on 337 in their first innings to capture a 157-run lead.

India then stumbled again with the bat in their second innings to finish Day 2 on a dismal 128/5, trailing by 29 runs to make Australia bat again.

The visitors' hopes for a miracle will rest on Rishabh Pant, batting on 28*, and an in-form Nitish Kumar Reddy on 15*.
