Barbados weather watch: Rain threat looms over India vs South Africa 2024 T20 World Cup final
India and South Africa are scheduled to clash in the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday, June 29. Both the Men in Blue and the Proteas are unbeaten in the tournament. While India beat England by 68 runs in the second semifinal in Guyana, South Africa thumped Afghanistan by nine wickets in the first seminal in Trinidad.
India and South Africa met in the Super 12 stage of the 2022 T20 World Cup. In the match played on a pacy pitch in Perth, Team India's batters struggled. The Proteas went on to win the game by five wickets. The current Indian squad and the conditions, though, will present a different challenge to South Africa.

Further, the cloud cover during this period is expected to be around 99 percent, and the probability of precipitation is 46 percent. It must be noted that the India vs South Africa final is scheduled to start at 10:30 AM local time.
What will happen if the India vs South Africa 2024 T20 World Cup final is affected due to rain?
In case of a rain delay, there is a reserve day in place (June 30). However, ICC's playing conditions for the tournament state that every effort will be made for a result to be achieved on Saturday itself.
For the India vs South Africa 2024 T20 World Cup final to be constituted as a match, both sides much face a minimum of 10 overs. A total of 190 minutes of extra time has been allocated both for the final and for the reserve day as well.
In case a result cannot be achieved on the reserve day as well both India and South Africa will be declared joint winners of the 2024 T20 World Cup.
