The three-match Test series against New Zealand will be crucial for India keeping qualification for the World Test Championship (WTC) final in mind. After the series against New Zealand, India will play five Tests in Australia. Of their remaining eight matches in the ongoing WTC cycle, India need to win at least three to make it to the final of World Test Championship to be played at Lord's in June.

The first Test of the series between India and New Zealand in Bengaluru is likely to be severely impacted by weather. According to AccuWeather, the conditions will be cloudy in the morning on Wednesday. The probability of precipitation is 25 percent, but the cloud cover is predicted to be 100 percent.

Shifting focus to weather conditions in afternoon in Bengaluru on Day 1 of the India vs New Zealand Test, it is expected to be cloudy, with prediction for thunderstorm in parts of the area. The probability of precipitation rises to 41 percent, while the cloud cover is likely to remain 100 percent. Conditions will remain partly cloudy in the evening, with 25 percent probability of precipitation.


Rain has been forecast for all 5 days of the IND vs NZ 2024 Bengaluru Test

In some disappointing news for fans and players, rain has been predicted for all five days of the India vs New Zealand Test to be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Times of India posted details of a local weather portal, which predicted possible weather interruptions on all five days of the Test.

As per the weather portal, there will be a 'generally cloudy sky with heavy rain' from October 16 to October 18 in Bengaluru. While the forecast is not as bad for the last two days of the Test, there is prediction for rain. Meanwhile, Team India's practice session on Tuesday was canceled due to rain.

After the first Test in Bengaluru, India and New Zealand will clash at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune from October 24 to October 28. The series will conclude with the third Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from November 1 to November 5.
