"Biwi pahad dekhri hai" - Suryakumar Yadav enjoys vacation in London with family
Team India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is enjoying his time off from the game by taking his family to a vacation in London. The cricket star has given fans a glimpse of his holiday via social media.
Suryakumar was named India's T20I captain after Rohit Sharma retired from the format following the side's 2024 T20 World Cup triumph. His stint began with a stunning 3-0 whitewash over Sri Lanka.
The swashbuckling batter was not named in the subsequent three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The 33-year-old is making the most of the break, spending quality time with his family.
Suryakumar shared a picture on his Instagram story on Tuesday, August 13, in which he can be seen posing with his family at the SEA LIFE London Aquarium. He reckoned that the photograph would make for the perfect wallpaper and also pointed out how his wife Devisha Shetty was looking towards the mountains.
He wrote:
"Mast wallpaper hai. Biwi pahad dekhri hai."
Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged the Player of the Tournament in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. He registered scores of 58 and 26 in the first two fixtures. He made a significant impact with the ball in the third T20I, taking the game to a Super Over.
With Sri Lanka requiring six runs to win off the last over, Suryakumar backed himself to do the job with the ball. He conceded just five runs from the over while bagging two wickets.
"I want to play for India in all three formats" - Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav has expressed his desire to play all three formats for Team India. The ace batter plans to get into the groove for the red-ball season by partaking in the Buchi Babu Invitational tournament in Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to the Times of India, Suryakumar said:
"I want to play for India in all three formats. Playing in Buchi Babu will give me good practice for the red-ball tournaments this season."
Suryakumar has featured in just one Test match in his international career. He made his Test debut against Australia in Nagpur last year in February. It was a forgettable outing for him as he managed to score just eight runs before falling to Nathan Lyon.
