"Bowling royalty meets part-time medium pacer"- Australian F1 racer Oscar Piastri poses with Pat Cummins

Oscar Piastri took to his official X handle and shared a picture to give fans a glimpse of his latest meeting with Pat Cummins. He captioned:

"Bowling royalty meets part-time medium pacer."

"If we can have specific windows for IPL but then also Test windows" - Pat Cummins's suggestion to make players' decision-making easier

During the recent MCC World Cricket Connects 2024 at Lords, Pat Cummins gave his point of view about ways to manage both franchise and international cricket efficiently.

As quoted by Sydney Morning Herald, Cummins said:

“Franchise cricket for some countries is more lucrative, more appealing than international cricket. If I went and played franchise cricket, I could probably be away for a half or a third of the amount we are for Australia."

He also advocated for a separate window for Test cricket and lucrative leagues like IPL to make things easier for players. The Australian captain added:

“In Australia, you know Test cricket is from November to January and basically no other cricket is going to get in the way of us playing Test cricket then. If we can have specific windows for IPL but then also Test windows, that makes the decision-making for the players a lot easier."
