Why the Brisbane Test is crucial in the context of BGT 2024-25

The third Test between India and Australia is significant because both teams are tied 1-1 in the series. India won the first Test in Perth by 295 runs, while the Aussies hit back with a 10-wicket triumph in Adelaide. A win at The Gabba will give them a crucial 2-1 lead and make it extremely difficult for the other side to stage a comeback in the five-match series.

The Gabba Test is also important in the wake of the World Test Championship (WTC) final. Australia and India are second and third in the points table with points percentage (PCT) of 60.71 and 57.29, respectively.
