Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by two wickets in the 15th match of the 2024 T20 World Cup at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Friday (June 7). Sri Lanka's chances of reaching the Super 8 have taken a hit after they suffered a second loss on the trot in the tournament.

At the post-match presentation, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto lauded his teammates for maintaining high intensity throughout the match and giving more than 100%.
Reflecting on the win, Shanto said:
"The way everyone showed their body language, I am really happy. Everyone gave their 120%. The last 10-15 days, we have been planning all the things, and fielding has been good."
He continued:
