"Can’t able to reach" - Tilak Varma posts hilarious comment as Ravindra Jadeja poses at an STD booth

Team India's veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is making the most of his time away from the game. The 35-year-old appears to be on vacation after being rested for the Men in Blue's ongoing three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Taking to his official Instagram handle, Jadeja posted a couple of pictures on Tuesday, August 6, in which he can be seen posing with a telephone at an STD booth.

The star cricketer captioned the post:

"He hasn’t been dropped" - Ajit Agarkar on Ravindra Jadeja's absence from India's ODI squad

Speculations were rife that Ravindra Jadeja may have been dropped from India's ODI team after the BCCI did not state a reason behind the senior players's absence from the squad for the Sri Lanka series.

However, chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar clarified in the pre-series press conference that Jadeja hasn't been dropped and was rested to ensure he remains fresh for the upcoming Test matches.

Agarkar said:

"It would have been really pointless to take both Axar (Patel) and Jaddu for a three-match series…He has had a terrific World Cup. Not at all dropped. Either of them wouldn't have featured in games had we taken him. There’s a big Test season coming up where he’s likely to feature in a lot of the Tests, so I don’t think three games would have mattered.
"We probably should have clarified that (his absence) after the selection. He hasn’t been dropped. He’s still within the scheme of things and very important as a player."

Ravindra Jadeja could return to cricketing action with India's two-match home series against Bangladesh, beginning September 19.
