"Can't even bat on highways" - Fans react to Mohammad Rizwan's duck in 2024 PAK vs ENG 1st Test
Mohammad Rizwan failed to deliver with the bat in the opening Test between Pakistan and England in Multan on Day 2 (Tuesday, October 8). The right-handed batter departed for a 12-ball duck, holing it out to Chris Woakes at mid-off.
With that, Rizwan continued his flop show against England in Tests. The wicketkeeper-batter had returned with scores of 29, 46, 10, 30, 19, and 7 in the 2022-23 home series against England.
Fans on X trolled Mohammad Rizwan for his flop show with the bat. One user wrote:

Mohammad Rizwan, however, emerged as the leading run-scorer for the hosts during their recently concluded two-match Test series over Bangladesh. He amassed 294 runs in four innings at an average of 98 with best score of 171 not out.

England took two wickets in the first session but Pakistan continued their stronghold in the opening Test on Day 2.
When writing, the hosts were 397/6 at Lunch, with Saud Shakeel (67 off 133) and Agha Salman at the crease. Gus Atkinson and Jack Leach have bagged two wickets each for the visitors.
Earlier on Day 1, Pakistan captain Shan Masood slammed 151 off 177 balls, a knock laced with two sixes and 13 boundaries. Opener Abdullah Shafique also hit 102 off 184 with the aid of two sixes and 10 boundaries. The duo put on a 253-run partnership for the second wicket.
Meanwhile, Babar Azam and Saim Ayub failed to deliver with the bat, scoring 30 (71) and 4 (10), respectively. Nightwatchman Naseem Shah scored 33 runs off 81 deliveries, hitting three sixes and one boundary.
Pakistan are searching for their first victory after going winless in their last 10 Tests.
