"Can't understand the thinking process" - Fans react as RCB don't use RTM card for Will Jacks at IPL 2025 auction

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) opted not to use their Right to Match (RTM) card for English all-rounder Will Jacks at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The 26-year-old was signed by Mumbai Indians (MI) for ₹5.25 crore.

Mumbai won a bidding war against Punjab Kings (PBKS) to acquire Jacks' services. However, with an RTM card available, Bengaluru still had a chance of re-signing the swashbuckling batter but they ultimately decided to let him go.

RCB's decision raised a lot of eyebrows. Many fans took to social media to react to the team management's call. Here are some of the top reactions:

Several fans suggested that RCB missed a trick by not looking to re-sign Jacks at the IPL 2025 auction.

"We let Will Jacks also go man.. We literally let all those RCB boys who were so loved to be in RCB go away like nothing," wrote a fan.
"Will Jacks initiated RCB's comeback after their terrible start in the first half last season. Can't understand the thinking process of RCB management," commented another.
"RCB's management failed to use RTM on Will Jacks in IPL Auction 2025. Poor decision!" chimed in yet another.
