Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh celebrates his 43rd birthday on Thursday, December 12. To commemorate the occasion, several of his former teammates and members of the cricket fraternity have taken to social media to extend their birthday wishes to the southpaw.
The Punjab cricketer was a vital match-winner for the Indian team over many years, especially in white-ball cricket. He played 58 T20Is, scoring 1,177 runs, including eight fifties.
In ODIs, Yuvraj featured in 304 matches, amassing 8,701 runs, which included 52 fifties and 14 centuries, while also taking 111 wickets. Additionally, he played 40 Test matches, accumulating 1,900 runs, including 11 fifties and three centuries.
As the legendary all-rounder turned 43 on Thursday, numerous members of the cricket fraternity took to X to wish the southpaw.

Yuvraj Singh played a pivotal role in India’s victorious campaign in the inaugural 2007 T20 World Cup, famously hitting six sixes in an over off Stuart Broad and scoring 70 off 30 balls in the semi-final against Australia. He accumulated 148 runs in five innings, including two fifties.
In the 2011 ODI World Cup, he was named Player of the Tournament, scoring 362 runs in eight innings, including four fifties and one century while also taking 15 wickets. His all-round performances were crucial in helping India win the championship after 28 years.
