"Chennai, Test match feelings are coming. Right?"- Ravichandran Ashwin's wife Prithi posts an Instagram story

Ravichandran Ashwin's wife Prithi Narayanan shared a story featuring the veteran off-spinning all-rounder on her official Instagram account on Friday, September 13.

Ashwin is gearing up to play his fifth Test at his home venue at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai when India lock horns with Bangladesh on September 19. Ahead of the two-match Test series, Team India have assembled in Chennai, with the camp starting on Friday.

Ahead of the first India-Bangladesh Test, Prithi took to Instagram and posted a story with the following caption:

"Chennai, Test match feelings are coming. Right?"

The second India-Bangladesh Test will be played at Green Park in Kanpur on September 27.


Ravichandran Ashwin has been in fine form this year

Ravichandran Ashwin will be one of the key figures of Team India in the first Test against Bangladesh at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. The 36-year-old has played four Test matches at the venue; three against England and one against Australia. Ashwin scored a hundred against England the last time he played there.

Ashwin last featured for Team India in the fifth Test against England, which also happened to be his 100th, earlier this year. He was the pick of the bowlers in the second innings, accounting for five wickets. The veteran offie was also the leading wicket-taker in the series, picking up 26 wickets in 10 innings at an average of 24.80.

Ashwin then turned up for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 2024 IPL. He was a key part of the Royals' campaign, awarded the Player of the Match in the loss against SunRisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator.

Ashwin also represented the Dindigul Dragons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL), helping them win the title.
