“Class is PERMANENT" - Suryakumar Yadav, Mohammed Siraj cheer for Cristiano Ronaldo after he scores in Euro 2024 penalty shootout

Indian cricketers Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammed Siraj showed their support for Cristiano Ronaldo on Suryakumar's Instagram story. Following Ronaldo's conversion of his strike during the penalty shootout in the Portugal vs. Slovenia game in Euro 2024 on Monday (July 1), both the 2024 T20 World Cup stars cheered for the Portugal footballer.

Earlier in the game, Cristiano missed a penalty in the first half of extra time; however, he was on target in the penalty shootout, which Portugal went on to win by 3-0 as they qualified for the quarterfinals of Euro 2024.

In the video that Yadav uploaded on his Instagram story, Siraj was also seen flaunting his T20 World Cup medal. The Indian pacer could be heard screaming “Siuuu," expressing his joy after Cristiano scored that goal.

India won their second T20 World Cup by defeating South Africa in the final on June 29. Suryakumar Yadav has been in the headlines for his spectacular catch of David Miller at a critical point in the match.

Meanwhile, the Indian team is still stuck in the West Indies due to a hurricane. However, it is reported that BCCI Secretary Jay Shah is arranging for a charter plane for the players to come back to India.

Suryakumar Yadav took a fantastic catch in the last over of the final game against South Africa to dismiss David Miller. The Proteas needed 16 in the last over, and it was the first ball when Surya used his presence of mind and took a blinder in a pressure situation.

The momentum pushed Suryakumar out of the boundary rope; however, he held his nerves, juggled back, and took the all-important catch to take the match in India's favor.

Hardik Pandya was brilliant in the last over, as India won the match by seven runs. With this, the Men in Blue won their second T20 World Cup and put an end to their 11-year ICC trophy drought.
