Country-wise breakdown of players who have registered for the IPL 2025 auction in the long list
The IPL player registration for the 2025 mega auction officially closed on Monday, November 4. A total of 1,574 players have entered their names for the mega auction, which will be held on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
An official release on iplt20.com confirmed that 1,165 Indian and 409 overseas cricketers have signed up to be part of the upcoming auction. The list features 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped cricketers, and 30 from Associate Nations.
From the overall list, 48 are capped Indians and 272 capped international players. There are also 965 players uncapped Indians and 104 uncapped internationals, who have registered their names for the IPL 2025 mega auction. The long list will be pruned following feedback from franchises.
If we talk about country-wise breakdown, 1,165 Indians, 91 players from South Africa, 76 from Australia, 52 from England, and 39 from New Zealand have signed up for the IPL 2025 player auction.

Thomas Draca from Italy, whose name features in the IPL 2025 mega auction long list, represented Brampton in the Global T20 Canada. The 24-year-old was also picked by MI Emirates for the upcoming ILT20 in the UAE.
Pant, Shreyas, Rahul among prominent names in IPL 2025 auction long list
As per a report in ESPNcricinfo, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are among the prominent Indian names who have registered for the IPL 2025 player auction at the highest base price of ₹2 crore. All three players captained their respective franchises in IPL 2024 but were not retained.
Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who were released by Rajasthan Royals (RR), have also listed their base price at ₹2 crore. Pacer Mohammed Shami, who was not retained by Gujarat Titans (GT), also features in the highest base price category. The fast bowler hasn't played any cricket due to injuries since the 2023 ODI World Cup final in November last year.
Deepak Chahar, Venkatesh Iyer, Avesh Khan, Ishan Kishan, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Prasidh Krishna, T Natarajan, Devdutt Padikkal, Krunal Pandya, and Umesh Yadav are the other Indian players who listed a base price of ₹2 crore for the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Among overseas players, Australia's Mitchell Starc and Jofra Archer are part of the highest base price category. Starc was picked by KKR for a record ₹24.50 crore at the 2024 auction, while Archer last represented Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2023.
