Dejected Yashasvi Jaiswal suggests ball was missing leg after being adjudged lbw to Chris Woakes in ENG-L vs IND-A 2nd unofficial Test [Watch]
Star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal fell prey to a close lbw call in the unofficial Test between India A and England Lions in Northampton, which started on Friday, June 6. The left-hander departed departed for 17 runs off 26 deliveries as the visitors lost their first wicket for 28 runs.
The dismissal came in the 7th over of India A innings. Chris Woakes bowled a fuller length ball that kept its line and Jaiswal failed to lay his bat on the ball on time. The on-field umpire adjudged him out but Jaiswal felt that the ball was going down the leg side.
The 23-year-old stood there for a while making a hand gesture to the umpire regarding the close call. He then left the crease seemingly dejected at the decision. There is no DRS call option in practice games.
