India A and Rajasthan Royals middle order batter Riyan Parag was dismissed cheaply on Day 1 of the Duleep Trophy clash between India A and India C on Thursday, September 19. The match is being played at the Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur.
Parag walked out to bat with India A finding themselves two wickets down early in the innings. He struggled in his short stay before nicking one behind to Sai Sudharsan in the slips off the bowling of Vijaykumar Vyshak. The 22-year-old was dismissed for two runs off nine balls.

India A were asked to bat first by India C in a match that will decide who goes on to win the 2024 Duleep Trophy. India A had a poor start as they lost their openers Pratham Singh (6 off 21) and Mayank Agarwal (6 off 25) cheaply. Tilak Varma (5 off 32) was run out while Kumar Kushagra (0 off 8) was dismissed without troubling the scorers.
As of writing, Shams Mulani and Shashwat Rawat have convened in the middle and are steadying the ship for India A, stitching together a partnership of 45 runs, with the score reading 81/5 after 32 overs.
