“DK bhai, you can keep a six-hitting challenge” - Rajat Patidar names 3 RCB players for longest six in IPL 2025
Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) Rajat Patidar was seen attending a camp that the franchise recently held on the sidelines of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The batter is expected to play a big role for RCB in IPL 2025.
Patidar, in a video released by RCB on their social media platform X, spoke about the importance of middle overs in the T20 format, stating that the intent of the batters coming in at No. 4 and 5 always have the intent to maximize the opportunity and believes that RCB's middle order will focus on the same.
A lot of players in the squad this season are renowned for their power-hitting abilities and playing at the Chinnaswamy Stadium would benefit them as well. Rajat Patidar named three RCB players - Tim David, Jitesh Sharma, and Liam Livingstone - who he feels can smash the longest six this season.
He also cheekily asked Dinesh Karthik, now a part of the support staff, to keep a six-hitting challenge to see which player hits the longest six.
"I feel that one among Tim David, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma can hit the longest six of this season. And DK (Dinesh Karthik) bhai if you're watching, you can keep a six-hitting challenge. Let's see who hits the longest six," the RCB batter said.
Rajat Patidar believes RCB have a balanced side going into IPL 2025
Rajat Patidar was among the three players RCB had retained going into the IPL 2025 mega auction. The franchise made vital picks in the auction to build a potent squad as they eye their maiden IPL title.
Patidar feels RCB have one of the best sides this season. He said the team have a proper balance and have covered all departments. Patidar feels that everything is sorted in the batting department.
"I personally feel we have one of the best sides. We are balanced and covering all departments from the top order, middle order, and finisher," he said in the same interaction.
He added that looking at the bowling group as well, he feels everything is covered.
"If you look at the bowling group, we have covered everything and I did not feel like we're lacking anywhere," Patidar added.
