"Do-do teen-teen ghante akele akele baith ke khelte rahenge" - Mohit Sharma on MS Dhoni's love for PlayStation
Indian fast bowler Mohit Sharma recently spoke about former Team India captain MS Dhoni's love for PlayStation. He mentioned that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star could spend two to three hours playing games in the team room during the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Both Sharma and Dhoni share a great camaraderie, having played together for CSK in four seasons. The pacer was also part of the MS Dhoni-led Indian team at the 2015 ODI World Cup.
Speaking about Dhoni's fascination for video games, here's what Sharma said on the YouTube channel 2 Sloggers (from 43:49):
"I think the sessions in Mahi Bhai's room might have been reduced as he has started visiting the team room. Do-do teen-teen ghante akele akele baith ke khelte rahenge (He loves PlayStation and can play alone for three hours)."
MS Dhoni was last seen in action during IPL 2024. He handed over the CSK captaincy reins to Ruturaj Gaikwad before the start of the season. While Chennai failed to qualify for the playoffs, Dhoni entertained fans with his explosive cameos, amassing 161 runs from 73 balls.
"Initially, I was scared to visit MS Dhoni's hotel room" - Mohit Sharma
Mohit Sharma also spoke about how MS Dhoni's hotel room was always open for his teammates and friends. Recalling his first visit to Dhoni's room, he admitted that he was slightly nervous.
The 36-year-old joked about going to Dhoni's room since there was free food available there. Sharma said (from 43:25):
"Initially, I was scared to visit Dhoni's hotel room. But one day, someone asked me to go to his room. When I went for the first few times, I realized that you get free food here. So, I would go there to save my daily allowance (laughs)."
Dhoni is yet to make an official announcement regarding his IPL future. His availability for IPL 2025 reportedly depends on the yet-to-be-announced retention rules for the upcoming mega auction.
