"Easy bhaiya easy"- Rishabh Pant's funny banter with Rohit Sharma ahead of IND vs PAK 2024 T20 World Cup clash
Team India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant shared an interesting picture with his teammates, including captain Rohit Sharma, along with a cheeky caption on Instagram. The players are currently training intensely for their next 2024 T20 World Cup contest. The Men in Blue will lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday (June 9) at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
Pant took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture through the story to give a glimpse of the preparations to the fans. In it, Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav could be seen pointing at someone with their hands while Pant was trying to say something to the captain. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was also present in the frame.
Rishabh Pant captioned the post:
"Easy bhaiya easy."
"I genuinely thought walking into the IPL could be very hard" - Dinesh Karthik on Rishabh Pant's comeback
Former Indian keeper Dinesh Karthik recently opined that he thought playing a high-pressure tournament like IPL would be difficult for Rishabh Pant after spending more than 14 months on the sidelines.
However, Pant got into the act swiftly and performed well for the Delhi Capitals (DC). He scored 446 runs in 13 matches and ended up as the leading run-scorer for his franchise.
Speaking to Cricbuzz on the matter, Karthik said:
"I genuinely thought walking into the IPL it could be very hard for him (Rishabh Pant) because of his recovery, and if you don't play for a year, the feel of playing matches, you lose it a lot. It takes time and IPL is such a quick and high-paced tournament, you need to get on the run right away. I thought it was going to be hard, but the way he has done it, credit to him, hats off. He is a deserving candidate and now you can see why people rate him so highly."
On Pant's unbeaten knock of 36 (26) in a match-winning cause against Ireland, Karthik continued:
"It's a great sign for India because left-hander, top of the order, taking on bowlers, plays spin brilliantly, and he is one of those guys if he gets going, he will win you a game comfortably. Couldn't be happier for him. This guy, even though it was not big in terms of volume, just his method to reach that score was brilliant."
