"Every time I post about Kohli, there's someone bringing negativity" - Italian footballer reacts to being trolled over birthday wish for cricketer

Italian football player Agata Isabella Centasso was among the many who wished Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli on his 36th birthday on Tuesday, November 5. However, she ended up being trolled for the same and expressed her disappointment with a post on social media.

Kohli, one of the biggest names in Indian cricket, received wishes from many fans and celebrities on the occasion of his special day on November 5. Agata also took to her social media handle to extend wishes to the star cricketer. She took to her official X handle and wrote:

"@imVkohli, happy birthday from a fan in Italy. All the best to you."

A few users, however, ended up trolling her. Here are a couple of reactions to Agata's post.

Disappointed with the trolling, Agata again took to her X handle and wrote:

"Every time I post something about Virat Kohli or cricket, there’s always someone bringing negativity. I honestly don’t understand why. Namaste 🙏🏻

Kohli was recently part of the Indian team that went down 3-0 to New Zealand in the Test series at home. The right-handed batter managed only 93 runs in six innings at an average of 15.50 as Team India succumbed to their first whitewash in a home Test series of three or more matches.


Virat Kohli drops out of top 20 in ICC Test rankings

Following an extended run of poor form, Kohli has dropped out of the top 20 in the latest ICC Men's Test batter rankings for the first time since 2014. The former India captain dropped eight spots and now occupies the 22nd place in the Test batter rankings. Current skipper Rohit Sharma also dropped two spots to 26th place

Kohli has represented India in 118 Tests and has scored 9,040 runs at an average of 47.83, with 29 hundreds and 31 fifties. He is fourth on the list of batters with the most Test runs for India after Sachin Tendulkar (15,921), Rahul Dravid (13.265) and Sunil Gavaskar (10,122).

In 2024, though, the 36-year-old has managed only 250 runs in 12 Test innings at a poor average of 22.72, with a solitary half-century. The right-hander scored 70 in the second innings of the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand.
