“F ka Matlab samaj aa gya hoga ya samjau?” - Harbhajan Singh responds to content creator over “security issues” in Pakistan
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh recently responded to a content creator over the "security issues" in Pakistan. Harbhajan has been quite vocal about the Indian team and its reservations about playing in the Champions Trophy, which will be hosted by Pakistan in February 2025.
Due to this, the former player has been subjected to abuse from numerous people across the border but is never shy of a befitting response.
One such instance occurred when a content creator from Pakistan posted an image of Harbhajan and took a dig at him for conceding four sixes in a row against Shahid Afridi, asking if this was his reason for advising against traveling to Pakistan. The incident dated back to India's tour of Pakistan in 2006.
"Hi, @harbhajan_singh. This is why you have security issues in Pakistan, right?" the post was captioned.
Harbhajan did not hold back and responded with a reference to the 2009 Lahore terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team. He added a photo and captioned it:
"No not for this . Cricket Mai Jeet har lagi rehti hai. I will tell u the real problem is this . Check the photo ⬇️ . Now get the F…. out of here . F ka Matlab samaj aa gya hoga ya samjau? F means ur name . Plz don’t think what u r thinking th meaning of F. You know what I mean ✌️Peace."
India's participation in 2025 Champions Trophy still in limbo
After Pakistan was announced as the host for the 2025 Champions Trophy, there have been numerous voices in Indian cricketing circles opposing the team's travel to Pakistan. Many of them have cited security as a major issue and are concerned about the player's well-being.
The BCCI has proposed a hybrid model for the tournament and asked for India's matches to be relocated to either Sri Lanka or Dubai but nothing has been conformed as of now.
