Fab 4 member in attendance at Lord’s for SA vs AUS 2025 WTC final [In Picture]

Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson was seen in attendance on Day 1 of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 final between South Africa and Australia. The match is being held on Wednesday, June 11, at Lord’s in London, England.

Williamson was the captain of the Kiwi team that won the inaugural World Test Championship in 2021, defeating India by eight wickets at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. Meanwhile, in the ongoing WTC 2025 final, the 34-year-old was seen enjoying the match from the stands.

The right-handed batter, widely regarded as part of the 'Fab Four'—a term used to describe modern-day greats Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Joe Root, and Kane Williamson—is currently representing Middlesex in the Men’s Vitality Blast.

Williamson’s most recent international appearance came in the 2025 Champions Trophy final, where New Zealand fell short against India. He continues to represent the Black Caps across all three formats and remains their leading run-scorer, having amassed 19,086 runs in 371 matches at an impressive average of 48.56, including 102 fifties and 48 centuries.


Kagiso Rabada removes Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green in quick succession during SA vs AUS 2025 WTC final

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to field under overcast conditions in the WTC 2025 final against Australia.

Kagiso Rabada bowled with precision, delivering three maiden overs to start his spell. In his fourth over—the seventh of Australia’s innings—he removed Usman Khawaja for a 20-ball duck.

On the final delivery of the same over, the 30-year-old struck again, dismissing Cameron Green for four off three balls. At the time of writing, Australia were 26/2 after 10 overs, with Marnus Labuschagne on 14 and Steve Smith on five at the crease.
