India pacer Akash Deep maintained his excellent form by claiming a five-wicket haul for India A in the second innings, having previously taken four wickets in the first innings of their 2024 Duleep Trophy match against India B at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
After securing a 90-run lead in the first innings, India B were bowled out for 184 in their second innings, with Akash Deep leading the attack for India A and taking five wickets. The 27-year-old’s impressive performance sparked a wave of reactions from fans on X.

IND A vs IND B Duleep Trophy match set for exciting finish
After a shaky start, Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan stabilized the second innings for India B with a 72-run partnership off 56 balls. Sarfaraz scored 46 off 36 balls, while Pant notched up a half-century with 61 off 47 balls, including nine boundaries and two sixes.
India B set a target of 275 runs for India A. Yash Dayal made a strong impact for India B as a brilliant fielding effort by Nitish Reddy led to the dismissal of Mayank Agarwal for three. Riyan Parag then played aggressively, scoring 31 off 18 balls with one boundary and three sixes before falling to Dayal.
Shubman Gill failed to build on his start, getting out for 21 to Navdeep Saini. Shortly after, Dayal secured his third wicket of the innings by dismissing Dhruv Jurel for a golden duck.
At lunch on Day 4, India A were 76/4 after 15 overs, with KL Rahul (20) and Tanush Kotian (0) at the crease. They need 199 runs to win with 63 overs remaining.
