"For a biopic, it is necessary to have tough times in a career"- Top 10 funny memes as Babar Azam gets dropped for remainder of PAK vs ENG 2024 Tests
Pakistan selectors made some bold decisions as they dropped stalwarts Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah from the Test team after the team's dismal innings loss in the first Test against England in Multan. Since the beginning of 2023, Babar has played nine Test matches, scoring just 352 runs at a poor average of 20.70 without a single 50-plus knock.
Pacers Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah have also struggled to give Pakistan the required breakthroughs over the recent past and returned underwhelming numbers. The selectors had enough after Pakistan's thumping loss in the Multan Test last week and decided to introduce fresh faces into the side at the expense of Babar, Shaheen, Naseem, and Sarfaraz Ahmed.

"We are fully committed to supporting them during this period"- Pakistan selector Aaqib Javed after dropping the likes of Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi from Test team

He termed them as valuable assets to the team and extended support during their time off. As quoted by Espncricinfo, Aaqib Javed said:
"We are confident that this break from international cricket will help these players regain their fitness, confidence and composure, ensuring they return in top shape for future challenges.
