Thirty-seven Australian cricketers have been shortlisted for the IPL 2025 auction. The list features some of the biggest names in Aussie cricket. Mitchell Starc, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Hazlewood, and Steve Smith are among the prominent names from Australia who have listed a highest base price of ₹2 crore.

Left-arm pacer Starc was part of Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) IPL 2024-winning squad. Having been purchased at the mini-auction for a record price of ₹24.75 crore, he had a mixed season for KKR. The 34-year-old claimed 17 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 26.12 and an economy rate of 10.61.

Just as he has done in international cricket, though, Starc lifted his game during the business end of IPL 2024. He was Player of the Match in Qualifier 1 and the final, claiming 3-34 and 2-14 respectively. KKR, however, decided against retaining him ahead of the auction.

Warner and Marsh were both released by Delhi Capitals (DC), while Maxwell was part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) from 2021 to 2024. As for Stoinis, he was a key figure in Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the last three seasons.
