Full list of capped Indian players in IPL 2025 auction

The much-anticipated IPL 2025 auction will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25. A total of 574 players from various cricketing nations have been shortlisted to be part of the auction. The initial long list included 1,574 names, but the same was pruned after feedback from franchises.

If we take a closer look at the break-up of players picked for the upcoming auction, 366 of them are Indian cricketers, while 208 of them are overseas players, including three from Associate nations. The pruned list includes 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas players. Further, there are also 48 capped Indian cricketers and 193 capped overseas players.

Following the announcement of retentions on October 31, a total of 204 slots are now up for grabs at the IPL 2025 auction, with 70 slots available for overseas players. Cricketers have registered in eight price brackets, with ₹30 lakh being the lowest and ₹2 crore being the highest.

As mentioned earlier, a total of 48 capped Indian players have been shortlisted for the IPL 2025 auction. Out of the 48 players, as many as 23 have listed the highest base price of ₹2 crore. The prominent names in this list include Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Ravichandran Ashwin, Venkatesh Iyer and Ishan Kishan.

Shreyas, Pant and Rahul captained their respective franchises in IPL 2024 yet were released. Shreyas, in fact, led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to victory in this year's edition but still wasn't retained. Pant and Rahul captained Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) respectively, with neither of the two teams making it to the IPL 2024 playoffs.

Further, left-handed batter Nitish Rana and veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane have listed both listed a base price of ₹1.5 crore for the IPL 2025 auction, while Jitesh Sharma, leg-spinner Rahul Chahar and opening batter Mayank Agarwal have all set a reserve price of ₹1 crore.

Speaking of the auction, all 10 IPL franchises have been allotted purses of ₹120 crore each. Following retentions, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have a whopping amount of ₹110.5 crore to spend at the auction as they retained only two players.
