Full list of England players in IPL 2025 auction
The IPL 2025 auction is all set to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25. As many as 574 cricketers from different nations have been shortlisted for the mega two-day event. The initial long list featured 1,574 names, but the same was pruned following feedback from franchises.
Taking a closer look at the breakdown of the 574 players who have been picked for the IPL auction, the list contains 366 Indian cricketers and 208 overseas names, of which three are from Associate nations. The IPL 2025 auction features 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas players. Also, there are 48 capped Indian players and 193 capped overseas players.
With all 10 teams have completed their retentions, 204 slots will now be up for grabs at the upcoming auction, with 70 slots for overseas players. Cricketers have listed names in eight different price brackets, with ₹2 crore being the highest and ₹30 lakh being the lowest.

England cricketers have always been a big hit in the IPL. As many as 37 players from the country have been shortlisted for the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Many of their players have registered the highest base price of ₹2 crore. The list includes Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Harry Brook, Will Jacks, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone and Phil Salt, among others.
England's white-ball captain Buttler represented Rajasthan Royals from 2018 to 2024. The 34-year-old had a few terrific seasons with the franchise. In the 2022 edition, he clobbered 863 runs in 17 matches at an average of 57.53 and a strike rate of 149.05, with four hundreds and four fifties. Buttler also hammered two hundreds in 2024.
The trio of Bairstow, Curran and Livingstone were released by Punjab Kings, who retained only two players, while Jacks was part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru franchise. Salt represented champions Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024 but wasn't retained.
