Full list of players with ₹40 lakh base price for IPL 2025 auction

The final list of players for the IPL 2025 auction was confirmed by the BCCI recently. The long list of 1,574 players was cut down to 574 after feedback from franchises. The two-day mega auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and November 25.

From the short list of 574 cricketers, 366 are Indian players, while 208 are overseas cricketers, with three being from Associate nations. The list includes 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas cricketers. Further, 48 capped Indian cricketers and 193 capped overseas names will be part of the IPL 2025 mega auction in Jeddah.

The 10 IPL franchises confirmed their retentions last month. Subsequently, a total of 204 slots are up for grabs at the upcoming two-day auction, with 70 available slots for overseas players. ₹2 crore is the highest base price bracket for the mega auction, while ₹30 lakh is the lowest.


Players with a reserve price of ₹40 lakh for the IPL 2025 mega auction

Only five players have set their reserve price as ₹40 lakh for the IPL 2025 mega auction and all of them are from India - Kartik Tyagi, Shoun Roger, Siddarth Kaul, Ajay Ahlawat and Jalaj Saxena.

Pacer Tyagi has played 20 matches in the IPL and has claimed 15 wickets at an average of 47.53 and an economy rate of 10.14. He played only one match for Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 2024 season. The youngster grabbed the limelight in the 2021 season when, representing Rajasthan Royals (RR), he conceded only one run in the last over against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a game in Dubai.

Kaul has represented Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad franchises in the IPL. The 34-year-old pacer has claimed 58 wickets in 54 matches at an average of 29.24 and an economy rate of 8.59. As for Saxena, he is a domestic legend. Recently, the all-rounder became the first player to achieve the double of 6,000 runs and 400 wickets in the Ranji Trophy.
