Full list of players sold on Day 1 of the IPL 2025 auction

Day 1 of the IPL 2025 Auction came to an end today, November 24, at the Abady Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A total of 12 sets of players went under the hammer and ₹467.95 crores was spent by all 10 franchises to acquire their desired players.

The auction started off with the six players in Marquee Players Set 1 going under the hammer. While Arshdeep Singh held the record of being the most expensive buy for a while before being retained via RTM by the Punjab Kings, Shreyas Iyer eclipsed him soon after, with the Mumbai batter earning a bid worth ₹26.75 crore. Both players were acquired by the Punjab Kings.

That record, however, was shortlived with his former Delhi Capitals teammate, Rishabh Pant earning ₹27 crore from the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Initially, LSG acquired the player at ₹20.75 crores but the Capitals decided to use their Right to Match card before the Lucknow-based franchise bumped the price up to ₹27 crores, making him the most expensive player of the auction.

Set 2 of the Marquee Players also saw some heads turn, with Yuzvendra Chahal earning a bid of ₹18 crores from the Punjab Kings and KL Rahul going to Delhi Capitals for ₹14 crores. Rasikh Dar, Naman Dhir, and Abdul Samad were the highest-earning uncapped players at the auction, being acquired by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, respectively.
