Global T20 Canada 2024 Telecast Channel: Where to watch and live streaming details in India

The 2024 edition of the Global T20 Canada is all set to get underway on Thursday, July 25. Vancouver Knights and Toronto Nationals will lock horns in the opening match at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario. A total of 21 matches will take place in the league stage.

The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will take place on August 9, followed by the Qualifier 2 on August 10. The final will be played on Sunday, August 11. All the matches will take place at the same venue in Ontario.

The inaugural edition of the tournament took place in 2018 after which it turned out to be a success until 2019. The 2020 season was postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The GT20 Canada did not take place take place in 2021 and 2022 as well. The championship returned last year when Montreal Tigers became the champions. They defeated Surrey Jaguars by five wickets in the final

Apart from the Nationals and the Knights, the other teams are Brampton Wolves, Bangla Tigers Mississauga, Surrey Jaguars, and Montreal Tigers.

Stars like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan signed up for the league. Rizwan was appointed as the skipper of the Knights. But then, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) canceled the NOCs of all three cricketers.

Mohammad Amir, Sandeep Lamichhane, Rassie van der Dussen, Marcus Stoinis, Mohammad Nabi, Kyle Mayers, Sunil Narine, Shakib Al Hasan, and Shoriful Islam are some of the star players who will be plying their trade in the tournament.

There will be no telecast of the Global T20 Canada 2024 matches in India. Matches will start at 1:30 AM IST and 8:30 PM IST.
