Team India celebrated their 2024 T20 World Cup triumph with an open bus parade in Mumbai on Thursday, July 4. Later in the evening, a felicitation ceremony was also conducted at the Wankhede Stadium for the Men in Blue.
Thousands of fans flocked to the stadium to catch a glimpse of the Indian cricketers. During the event, Rohit Sharma and company sang the AR Rahman-composed song 'Vande Mataram', creating an iconic moment bound to be etched in the memories of those in attendance for years to come.

Speaking at the Wankhde Stadium in Mumbai, Indian captain Rohit Sharma mentioned that the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy not only belongs to the players but also to the fans.
Mentioning that he was relieved after the team finally ended their 11-year-old ICC trophy drought, Rohit said at the Wankhede:
"Along with all the players who have represented the country, all the people who have been wanting us to win this trophy, this trophy belongs to them. Obviously Mumbai never disappoints when it comes to winning the trophy. I would like to thank all the fans. For the last 11 years, they have wanted this trophy to come here and we have finally brought it here and I am relieved."
Three of the country's prominent stars bid adieu to T20Is after the 2024 T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from T20Is following the successful campaign.
