GT all-rounder undergoes shoulder surgery in London post IPL 2025 [In Pictures]

Gujarat Titans (GT) all-rounder Rahul Tewatia shared a health update on social media after undergoing shoulder surgery in London. The 32-year-old was last seen in action during the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), which concluded on June 3.

On Friday, June 13, the Haryana cricketer posted a couple of photos on Instagram from King Edward VII's Hospital in England, giving fans a glimpse of his recovery and thanking everyone for their support. He captioned the post:

“Shoulder Surgery ✅ One step closer to healing and getting back stronger🦁. Grateful for the team that got me through it and for everyone who’s checked in. Jai Shree Ram 🙏🏼.”

Under Shubman Gill’s leadership, Gujarat Titans (GT) finished third in the points table, collecting 18 points from 14 matches. Their campaign came to an end with a 20-run defeat to Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator while chasing a challenging target of 229.

Individually, Rahul Tewatia didn’t have the best season, struggling to capitalize on the limited opportunities he got with the bat. The 32-year-old played 15 matches but managed only 99 runs in 12 innings at an average of 12.37, though he maintained an impressive strike rate of 167.79.

Overall, the all-rounder has featured in 108 IPL matches, scoring 1,112 runs at an average of 23.16 and a strike rate of 137.11, which includes a half-century. With the ball, the leg-spinner has picked up 32 wickets in 52 innings, with best figures of 3/18.
