Gujarat Titans (GT) face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in match 45 of IPL 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, April 28. The GT vs RCB match will be the afternoon clash of a double-header.
Following an inconsistent first half, Gujarat Titans are languishing in seventh place in the points table, having won four and lost five of their nine matches. As for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, they are in last place, with only two wins from nine matches.
In their previous IPL 2024 match, GT were beaten by Delhi Capitals by four runs in a high-scoring clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delhi scored 224-4 batting first before restricting Gujarat to 220-8.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru's six-match losing streak came to an end when they stunned Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Batting first, RCB posted 206-7 as Rajat Patidar hammered 50 off 20 before restricting SRH to 171-8.

RCB have won the toss and have decided to bowl first. Captain Faf du Plessis explained:
“It is a 50-50 decision. The local boys have told us that the wicket stays good.”

According to Michael Clarke, the wicket looks pretty good, but it's quite dry.
He reckons the surface will offer a bit of spin, adding it will be consistent whether you are bowling first or second. Clarke feels that 180 should be a pretty good total and concluded that both teams are going to rely heavily on spin and change of pace.
